These terms govern your use of Acquisition Intelligence at https://acquisitionintelligence.co.uk (the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these terms.

1. About the service

The Platform provides UK business acquisition intelligence, including company search, scoring, AI-assisted analysis, and related tools. We are a software provider — we do not provide legal, tax, financial, or investment advice.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be 18 or over and using the Platform for lawful business purposes.
• We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or applicable law.

3. Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans are billed via Stripe as described on our pricing page. Fees, features, and cancellation terms are shown at checkout. Marketplace introductions and other one-off purchases are separate from subscription fees.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the Platform, attempt unauthorised access, or scrape data beyond permitted use.
• Do not use the Platform to send unsolicited marketing without consent.
• Respect third-party rights and applicable UK law, including data protection and marketing rules.
• Company data sourced from Companies House and other providers remains subject to their terms.

5. Intellectual property

We own the Platform, branding, and proprietary scoring or AI outputs except where data is licensed from third parties or entered by you. You retain ownership of content you submit.

6. HMRC and third-party services

If you connect HMRC services in future, authorisation will use HMRC OAuth 2.0. We will not ask for or store your HMRC Government Gateway password. Your use of HMRC APIs will also be subject to HMRC’s terms. We do not use HMRC logos or claim HMRC “approval” unless explicitly stated in writing by HMRC.

7. Data and privacy

Our Privacy policy explains how we process personal data. You can export or request deletion of your account data from your profile or by emailing hello@acquisitionintelligence.co.uk.

8. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is”. Company records, scores, and AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate. You must verify information independently before making acquisition decisions.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Platform. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
